Does this involve gambling or real money?

No. 31 is a card game with no betting, wagering, or purchases of any kind. Each player starts with a set number of lives, and the last player standing wins.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Every game runs entirely on your device against local bots or pass-and-play friends. Nothing is sent anywhere.

How do I get back to my game after opening Settings?

Tap Return to game, the gold pill at the top right of the Settings screen. It takes you back to the same game, same round and same turn. If you close the app instead, it offers Resume Game when you reopen it.

How do I turn the sounds or the voice off?

Open Settings and find Game sounds and Voice. They are separate switches, so you can keep the effects and mute the voice, or the other way around. Each has a checkbox for individual sounds, and you can pick a voice style. There is also a sound button in the top corner of the table.

Which table layout should I use?

On iPhone you get the compact layout, which is built for one-handed landscape play. On iPad you are asked the first time you play, and Compact is recommended for its larger cards and buttons. Full Table shows everyone around an oval table. You can change it any time under Table layout in Settings.

How do I draw and discard?

Tap the draw pile to draw or the discard pile to take it, then tap a card in your hand to discard. If you prefer buttons, turn on Use the action buttons in Settings.

Why did the game finish my last draw for me?

That is Easy finish. On the last draw of a round, the game settles your best three cards for you. To choose your own discard, turn off Easy finish in Settings.

Why do my cards keep rearranging themselves?

That is Auto-organize my cards, which sorts your hand with a quick slide. Turn it off in Settings if you would rather keep your own order.

The app looks frozen or a control isn't responding - what should I do?

Try fully closing and reopening the app first. If that doesn't fix it, email a quick description of what happened (and your device model) and it'll get looked into.
